Updating pivot tables in excel 2016
If you change any of the text or numbers in your data set, you need to refresh the pivot table.

To refresh the Pivot Tables, you have to go to each one and refresh it.
Once you've created a Pivot Table, you can use it to answer different questions by rearranging—or pivoting—the data.
For example, let's say we wanted to answer What is the total amount sold in each month?
Tip: change your data set to a table before you insert a pivot table.
On the Analyze tab, in the Data group, click Change Data Source.
Answering it could be time consuming and difficult; each salesperson appears on multiple rows, and we would need to total all of their different orders individually.
